William (Bill) Sample after becoming open water certified in 2017, entered the underwater world with a passion to learn all he possibly could. After 3 years of diving 2 to 3 times monthly he earned a professional rating by becoming a NAUI Divemaster. 2 years later he has earned the esteemed NAUI Instructor Certification. Bill has a knack for teaching students, he is able to tailor his classes to both the new diver who is struggling with anxiety as well as the more confident adventure seekers. He believes that anyone can teach the main parts of the lesson however it takes a unique individual to draw focus on the small things. Bill retired from the US Army after 22 years, 6 months as an Infantry First Sergeant. He began working at Groppetti Automotive in Visalia California as the Director of I.T. to present and greatly enjoys his work. Bill draws on his time in the military to assist those in the dive community, you will find him frequenting our beloved Channel Islands in California spearfishing or collecting scallops and lobster.
