Terms and Conditions
California Scuba Center Inc.

By enrolling in a course, booking a trip, purchasing equipment, renting gear, completing an online transaction, or participating in any activity offered by California Scuba Center Inc. (“CSC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
1. Assumption of Risk
Scuba diving, snorkeling, freediving, swimming, and related water activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to equipment failure, environmental conditions, physical exertion, and human error. You understand and voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in any activity provided or facilitated by California Scuba Center Inc.
2. Medical Fitness
All participants must be medically fit to dive or participate in water activities. You agree to truthfully complete all required medical questionnaires. If indicated, written medical clearance from a licensed physician must be obtained prior to participation. Failure to disclose medical conditions releases California Scuba Center Inc. from all liability.
3. Training & Certification
Participation in training programs requires meeting prerequisite certifications, age requirements, and performance standards established by the applicable training agency and California Scuba Center Inc. Certification is not guaranteed and is contingent upon successful completion of all academic, confined water, and open water requirements.
4. Minors
Participants under the age of 18 must have all required documents completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian. Parents and legal guardians acknowledge and accept all risks on behalf of the minor participant.
5. Equipment Use & Rental
All equipment rented, borrowed, or used through California Scuba Center Inc. must be used properly and returned in good condition. Customers are responsible for loss, theft, or damage beyond normal wear and tear. CSC is not responsible for injuries resulting from misuse or improper handling of equipment.
6. Trips, Travel & Third-Party Services
Dive trips and travel may involve third-party providers such as boats, instructors, hotels, and transportation services. California Scuba Center Inc. acts solely as a facilitator and is not responsible for the actions, omissions, delays, or negligence of third-party providers.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
Refund and cancellation policies vary by class, program, trip, product, or service and will be disclosed at the time of booking or purchase. Deposits may be non-refundable. No refunds will be issued for missed sessions, early departures, or failure to meet course requirements.
8. Online Purchases & Payments
California Scuba Center Inc. offers online purchases for classes, trips, equipment, rentals, gift cards, and related services. By completing an online transaction, you authorize CSC to charge the provided payment method for the full amount, including applicable taxes and fees. All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.
9. Accuracy of Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information for all online purchases and bookings. CSC is not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect information provided by the customer, including incorrect email addresses or contact details.
10. Order Confirmation & Acceptance
Online orders and bookings are not final until payment is processed and confirmation is issued. CSC reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order due to pricing errors, availability issues, suspected fraud, or unauthorized transactions.
11. Digital Products & Bookings
Some purchases include digital products, online learning materials, or reserved bookings. Digital access may be time-limited and non-transferable. Once access to digital materials is granted or a booking is confirmed, refunds may be limited or unavailable unless otherwise stated.
12. Shipping & Delivery
Shipping timelines for physical merchandise are estimates only. CSC is not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers or events beyond our control. Risk of loss passes to the customer upon delivery to the carrier.
13. Returns & Refunds for Online Sales
Return and refund eligibility varies by product or service and will be disclosed at checkout.

Training, classes, trips, and digital products may be non-refundable.

Equipment and merchandise must be unused, in original condition, and returned within the stated return period, if applicable.
Shipping costs are non-refundable unless required by law.
14. Chargebacks & Disputed Transactions
You agree to contact California Scuba Center Inc. directly to resolve billing issues before initiating a chargeback or dispute. Unauthorized chargebacks may result in cancellation of services, denial of future bookings, or additional administrative fees.
15. Fraud Prevention
CSC reserves the right to request additional verification for online transactions and may cancel orders suspected of fraud or unauthorized use without prior notice.
16. Third-Party Payment Processors
Online payments may be processed through third-party providers. California Scuba Center Inc. does not store full credit card information and is not responsible for the security practices of third-party payment processors.
17. Code of Conduct
Participants must follow all instructor directions, safety protocols, and local regulations. CSC reserves the right to remove any participant from an activity without refund for unsafe behavior, intoxication, harassment, or failure to follow instructions.
18. Photography & Media
Unless otherwise stated in writing, you grant California Scuba Center Inc. permission to use photographs or video taken during activities for marketing, educational, or promotional purposes without compensation.
19. Website Use
Use of CSC’s website, online booking system, and social media platforms is subject to these Terms. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
20. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located within California.
21. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
22. Acceptance
By enrolling in a course, booking a trip, making a purchase, or participating in any activity provided by California Scuba Center Inc., you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
